The Brownies – The Kid’s Pal

Inspired by the children's books,"The Brownies" by Canadian author and illustrator, Palmer Cox - "The Kid's Pal" is a character in the series. These books were based on traditional English Mythology and Scottish stories told to Cox by his grandmother. Brownies delighted in harmless pranks and helpful deeds. Their popularity led to Kodak's naming "The Brownie Camera" after them. Also they inspired the pre-Girl Scout group (Brownies) who fashioned their uniforms after them. This little fellow stands 9" tall. He is  hand wrought from head to toe with great attention to the details of the original illustrations. He made of wool and stuffed with sawdust.
