Tasha Tudor

Tasha Tudor (1915-2008) was born in Boston.MA to W. Starling Burgess and Rosamund Tudor. She changed her name adopting her mother's last name when she was an adult. She has illustrated 100 books. She has received many awards and honors including the Caldecott Honors and the Regina Medal in 1971 for her contributions to children's literature. She created thousands of original works of art which appear on cards,Advent calendars, Valentine posters,. and other forms. Her original pieces are found in museums, libraries and private collections.
