Cecil Aldin

Cecil Aldin was a British artist and illustrator best known for his paintings of animals, sports and rural life. Aldin executed village and rural scenes capturing England's past, as depicted on "Downton Abbey". He was an avid sportsman and a master of the hounds. Many of his pictures illustrated the sporting life in rural England. He was influenced by Randolf Caldecott and John Leech.
